A New Partnership!
We’re teaming up to host bigger, better, and more exciting events around Floyd!
New This Year!
This year, Floyd County Parks and Recreation is partnering with the Town of Floyd to make our Halloween event even bigger and better! Last year, the Town shut down half of Oxford Street for extra trick-or-treating, but this year, we’re adding more to the fun!
1. Snacks
We’ll have snacks and hot chocolate to help you fuel up for your big night of trick-or-treating!
2. Games
This is your chance to win even more candy! Play quick games for extra goodies!
3. Trail
Visit all the places around town that are hosting fun activities on Halloween!
Trick-Or-Treating Trail
Courthouse Parking Lot
Starting this year, half of the courthouse parking lot will be blocked off for snacks and games to start off the night with a bang!
Trick-Or-Treat on Oxford Street
Take your snacks on the road! The town will partially close down Oxford Street for the first part of the trick-or-treating trail. Local businesses will set up tents and hand out candy, leading from the courthouse parking lot to a nearby neighborhood to continue your adventure!
Continue Through Town
Don’t just stop there! Visit one or all of the other places around town that are hosting fun activities on Halloween!
Circle Back Around
Our Trick-Or-Treat Trail conveniently circles back around to end at the courthouse parking lot. Feel free to play more games and grab more snacks to go! (snacks and drinks are available while supplies last)
Volunteer
We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make our Halloween event a memorable experience for the kids! If your local organization is interested in running a station or assisting with activities, we’d love to have you join us. Your energy and support will ensure that every child has a fantastic time.
