Application Deadline

Friday, November 21st at 11:59 PM

Last year, day-of walk-in registrations have been accepted, but this year, we will not be accepting float applications after the deadline.

This application deadline will be a HARD CUTOFF to allow us to plan and organize the event in advance.

Information for Participants

Registration Fee: $10 per entry

Eligibility: Anyone can enter the parade! Floats, cars, horses, walkers, and more are all welcome to participate in the parade!

This Year’s Theme: A Small Town Christmas

Decoration Guidelines: In general, some form of Christmas, holiday, or winter season decorations are required! Every single entry must be decorated in some way (Christmas lights, bow, hats, ornaments, etc.).

Float Size Requirements: Floats of any size are eligible to register, however, for the safety of other participants, we need to know the size of the vehicles in your entry or float by the registration deadline (Friday, November 21 at 11:59 PM). We will determine the order of the parade based on several factors, one of them being the size of the float and/or vehicles registered. If you decide to bring a different vehicle or float than the one you mentioned in your registration, YOU MUST NOTIFY US.

Day-Of Staging: FCHS Parking Lot 12:30-2:00 PM

We will start lining up floats in the Floyd County High School parking lot at 12:30PM. Feel free to bring any last minute decorations with you and decorate your vehicles/float in the parking lot while you wait. Floats will need to ready and done before the parade starts!

Roll Out: Around 2:45 PM, we’ll start heading out from the parking lot towards downtown Floyd.

Pacing: We’ll have a pace car in front to set a ‘casual strolling’ pace. At any point in the parade, if you feel like it’s going to fast, feel free to slow down to allow the crowd to enjoy each float!

One Last Rule: NO THROWING CANDY!!! Feel free to HAND out candy, but please don’t throw it!
