Note on Late Registrations:
All youth registered by the deadline will be guaranteed a spot on a team.
All youth registered during the late registration window will be on a wait list and added to a team roster as there is space available.
Soccer
Our coed program focuses on skill development, teamwork, and fun while providing a supportive environment for players of all levels.
Age cut off for soccer is on or before October 31 for Fall. (April 1 for Spring)
Rookie league will consist of 1 training session per week for 6 weeks with SWVA RUSH.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own soccer ball.

No heading will be allowed in the Junior or Mite leagues. Accidental heading of the ball will be a “play on” and intentional heading in these leagues will result in indirect kick for opposing team.
All games/practices will be at the Rec Park during Fall, Floyd Elementary during Spring.
Each participant will be required to have shin guards, no exceptions.
Cheerleading
The purpose of recreational cheer is to provide our entire youth community interested in a positive cheer experience at an appropriate level. It is expected that recreational cheer programs will offer participants the opportunity to have fun while increasing their physical fitness, learn new cheerleading skills, as well as learn teamwork, fair play, leadership, sportsmanship, time-management skills, cooperation, trust, and regard for others.
This program provides an introduction to basic cheer, stunts, and techniques. Cheer squads are assigned to a football team in the corresponding area and age group. League requires travel throughout NRV.

Football
TACKLE FOOTBALL
Part of the New River Valley Youth Football League, this is a full contact league designed to provide instruction on fundamentals while stressing the importance of sportsmanship.Â
Leagues are based on the participant’s grade level entering the upcoming school year.
Home games will be played at Floyd County High School.
Mite (Grades 2-3)

FLAG FOOTBALL
This program allows boys and girls to play non-contact football in a fast-paced and exciting environment. Participants must be rising kindergarteners or first graders.
Travel WILL be required for all football leagues.
Flag will travel to Montgomery County.
Flag (Grades K-1)
AGE CUTOFFS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED IN TACKLE LEAGUES. NO EXCEPTIONS WHATSOEVER.
Birth certificates are now required for the NRV League
